Design and Display
The realme 8i features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels 2.5D curved glass screen with gentle rounded corners. It has 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It can automatically switch between 6 different refresh rates -30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz to save the battery life. Meanwhile, the screen can go from 600 nits to 1 nit, with 1 nit being the lowest brightness level. Even at night, your eyes can stay comfortable while you use your phone.
The realme is considered as the design for the future. Simple, but not boring, inspired by the everyday lifestyle of the young generation. To take these stunning colors to the next level, we incorporated a flowing design concept. An arc beam texture has given the phone a shinier, smoother appearance that makes the black look just as eye-catching when you’re holding it. The realme 8i is available in two colors: Stellar Purple/Space Black.
The colors around the camera and the entire body are consistent, bringing a higher sense of harmony. The device is extremely light and thin, coming in at just 8.5 mm and 194 g. No matter where you put it, it becomes a part of the scenery.
In front houses the punch-hole with 16-megapixel camera whereas the bottom has the 3.5 mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill. The power button which includes the fingerprint scanner is present on the right side. The dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots are on the left, along with the volume rockers. The earpiece is present on the top edge.
Powered by Helio G96 12nm SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, the performance is good. It also has Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology, which can add up to 5GB to the existing 6GB RAM. The 4GB RAM version doesn’t have this feature.
At the back highlights the realme 8i’s main camera with 50MP sensor with f/1.8 large aperture, and 50MP lens that secures enough light to make pictures clearer and brighter. In addition, the product also supports PDAF that makes the focus more rapid and precise.

The B&W lens provides special artistic effects for portraits, which reproduce portraits in black and white, providing higher exposure and enhancing the contrast between light and dark of images.

Performance and Battery Life
realme8i is equipped with realme’s first G96 chip. It’s manufactured using a 12nm process and has two large A75 cores and 6 small A55 cores. Its main frequency reaches up to 2.05GHz. Compared to realme 7i, the performance of 8i has improved 65%. The GPU has been improved by 91%, and the CPU by 51%.
realme launched the technology –Virtual RAM, coming from computers to smartphones. Virtual RAM actually uses the phone’s internal storage as makeshift RAM and increases the total amount of RAM on your smartphone. For realme 8i, realme launces 5GB Virtual RAM on 6GB+128GB version and this can improve the phone’s overall smoothness. The realme 8i is available in two versions: 4+64GB and 6+128GB. The realme 8i is also equipped with a 3-card slot for two SIM cards and one SD card (up to 256GB).
The realme 8i features a mega 5000mAh battery with which lets you enjoy non-stop usage and also equipped with 18W Fast Charge. The brand claims that it could last for 28 days in standby mode. Totally continuous 47 hours on calling, 40 hours on music, 11 hours on YouTube or 8 hours for MLBB.
