Valentine’s Day offers lovers many ways to express their emotions. From the usual romantic dinner, out-of-town trips and surprises we are hindered to do it because of the safety protocols we need to follow. That’s why I am surprised that I can still reinvent and create memories this quarantine with my loved ones (or even friends) in a safe way.
Last Feb 13, we just had one-of-a-kind Valentines Day celebration at the Globe Love Street Drive-in Concert in 30th street Open Parking in Bonifacio Global City. As early as 4:30PM we left the house just to get at the venue and get a nice spot.
When we arrived, the staff carefully check us all (we we’re with friends) our body temperature and made sure that we were wearing surgical masks and face shields. They also handed out the safety guidelines and the QR code if in case you wanted to order something from the merchants. Once you ordered food, they will deliver it to your car and scan their QR code for cashless payments. By the way we are also permitted to get out of the car except for bathroom break. It’s all good for us because we are safe and even the cars park inside the venue are socially distanced.
Watching KZ Tandingan and Rico Blanco performing their best romantic hits was amazing. KZ makes my heart pound because of her sing and dance performance and Rico made me feel nostalgic, reminded me of my college days. Did I mentioned that it started on time? The concert was also livestreamed at Globe’s official Facebook Page and 105.1Q Radio. I am so glad that we we’re part of the first-ever drive-in concert, we were part of the history! I hope this wouldn’t be the last. Kudos Globe Telecom!
