If you’re looking for a tablet that is budget-friendly for this incoming school year, you might want to consider the Huawei MatePad.
The visual performance of the MatePad was fantastic, the display is crisp and vibrant. I watched a couple of videos from YouTube and Viu app, all of which offered an immersive experience. The display is simple, just slide left, right, up or down, it’s fast and responsive.
One thing I noticed is that the audio is very loud considering the size of the speakers provided. With speakers either side, you get a nice representation of both left & right audio channels, which is great while watching a movie.
The camera quality is decent enough and not overly crisp or vibrant but the front-facing camera looked good for video calls. There are a number of options and presets included within the camera app, as well as a digital zoom. Beauty mode aka remove the wrinkles mode is available for selfies.
The AppGallery and apps can be directly downloaded on AG (can focus on learning, entertainment apps) The Huawei Petal Search Widget is the gateway to million apps. No need to go to a lot of third party apps, Huawei PSW will do the search for you, providing more convenience to the users.
Battery life was perfect for me. I used it on and off for a week, mainly for watching videos or movies.
Overall, I love the Huawei MatePad Pro, it looks and feels superb, the display is crisp & vibrant, battery life is good and affordable.
