As much as possible, experts are strictly enforcing social distancing due to the pandemic COVID-19. As a result, cashless transactions become more useful and effective.
Previous articles have shown that physical currency can be a cause of transmission of the virus. One of the reasons why we’re so lucky that before this pandemic happens, we are already benefitting from digital payment systems. Easy, convenient, fast secured, and can be done using your phone. Here in the Philippines, restaurants, supermarkets, and even convenient stores have partnered and embraced the contactless payments.
GCash has been my trusted app when buying and paying bills online. If you’re still clueless how to load you’re GCash app, I can recommend one simple way. Before I’ve been expert in loading my GCash account thru my online bank account, I used to load it via 7Eleven.
GCash and convenience store chain 7-Eleven have teamed up to introduce a new digital payment option, allowing GCash account holders to cash-in and pay their bills and even pay for their purchases in 7-Eleven stores via the revolutionary Scan-to-Pay (STP) via Barcode feature in the GCash app.
Steps
- Open the GCash App and input MPIN.
- Tap on ‘Cash-In’.
- Select ‘7-Eleven Barcode’.
- Enter amount.
- Generate barcode.
- Ask the cashier to scan the barcode.
- Pay the amount to the cashier.
- 7-Eleven cashier will issue receipt.
